Tony Allen
Owner & Head Coach
Tony is a qualified UKCC Level 3 Swimming Coach and holds the NRASTC Award. Tony also holds a level 3 qualification in UK Athletics as a sprints development coach and a UEFA B Licence in coaching Football. He also combines his time managing the swim school by working at Bristol Rovers as the kitman for the 1st Team. Tony can often be found travelling the width and breath of the country during the football season whilst coaching at the swim school and planning all aspects of the business.
Bryony Wade
Swimming Teacher
Bryony learnt to swim with Sport Education Swim School and graduated to becoming a poolside helper after learning all the coaching practises and drills during her squad sessions. Bryony is currently studying a biomedical science degree at Cardiff University. Bryony is a Swim England Level 2 Teacher and holds the NRASTC Award. She is a keen hockey player and has represented the county team on several occasions and now plays for the city of Bath Hockey Club as well as her university team.
Macey King
Swimming Teacher
Macey learnt to swim at Sport Education Swim School and graduated to becoming a poolside helper after learning all the coaching practises and drills during the squad sessions which included Artistic Swimming. Macey is currently taking another gap year from university and loves socialising with friends during her spare time, taking part in water sports such as surfing and kayaking. Macey enjoys travelling and has recently been to Nepal where she completed the Annapurna circuit. She has also travelled to South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Macey is a ASA Level 2 teacher and holds the NRASTC Award.
Grace Cook
Swimming Teacher
Grace is a highly experienced swimming teacher and has been at the swim school for over three years now. Grace is also a teaching assistant at a local infant school.Grace loves to relax by baking and sewing. She also enjoys swimming during her spare time. Grace is a Level 2 qualified swimming teacher and holds the NRASTC Award.
Joanna Harrison
Swimming Teacher
Joanna learnt to swim at Sport Education Swim School and graduated to becoming a poolside helper after learning all the coaching practises and drills during the squad sessions. She is currently studying a degree in adult and child nursing at Plymouth University. Joanna enjoys playing the piano and going to the musical theatre and has performed on Broadway in New York and at the Royal Albert Hall! She is also a keen horse rider and still enjoys her swimming to relax. Joanna swam at county level and is an ASA Level 2 qualified swimming teacher and holds the NRASTC Award
Holly Tanner
Swimming Teacher
Holly is a primary school teacher with a degree in Integrated wildlife conservation that specialises in marine biology. She also has PGCE in primary education. Holly is an ex competitive swimmer who under the guidance of Bob Lisle and Tony Allen at Bristol Henleaze SC along with many other coaches reached national times in 50 m Butterfly and was once ranked at 28th in the country! She now enjoys her spare time playing water-polo and taking part in triathlons. Holly has been at the swim school for over ten years now and started at like many others as a poolside helper, where she continued to learn the coaching practises and drills to help her now become an ASA level 2 qualified swimming Teacher. Holly holds the NRASTC Award.
Ruby
Poolside Helper
Ruby learnt to swim at Sport Education Swim School and graduated to become a poolside helper after learning all the drills during the squad sessions which included Artistic Swimming. Ruby is a great help to the team.
Kate Sheppard
Swimming Teacher & Swim Mark Representative
Kate is a highly experienced teacher and has worked in the industry for many years. Kate has been with the swim school for nearly ten years now and oversee's the Swim England Swim Mark Accreditation side of the business. This helps the swim school to adhere to, guidelines, policies and procedures set by the governing body.She enjoys baking and running in her spare time and also helps out at a local scout group. Kate holds a degree in sports science and dance and is an ASA Level 2 qualified teacher and holds the NRASTC Award.
Niamh Sullivan
Swimming Teacher
Niamh learnt to swim at Sport Education Swim School and graduated to becoming a poolside helper after learning all the coaching practises and drills during the squad sessions which included Artistic Swimming. Niamh is currently taking a gap year from university and enjoys travelling. Niamh enjoys cycling in her spare time along with walking the dog to relax. She is often known to do the odd bit of shopping too!! Niamh is a Swim England Level 2 qualified Teacher and holds the NRASTC Award.
Evie King
Swimming Teacher
Evie learnt to swim at Sport Education Swim School and graduated to becoming a poolside helper after learning all the coaching practises and drills during the squad sessions which included Artistic Swimming. Evie is currently taking a gap year from university. She is a keen musician and has the ability to play the piano, flute and guitar within a group called Flutissimo! Evie is a Swim England Level 2 qualified Teacher and holds the NRASTC Award.

Poolside Helper
Grace learnt to swim at Sport Education Swim School and graduated to become a poolside helper after learning all the drills during the squad sessions which included Artistic Swimming. Grace is a great help to the team.
Mark Roberts
Swimming Teacher
Mark is a highly experienced swimming teacher and has worked in the industry for many years. Mark has been at the swim School for over 8 years now and is a keen motorbike rider and likes nothing more than a ride in the countryside to relax on his BMW. Mark is an ASA Level 2 qualified swimming teacher and holds the NRASTC Award.
Sue Parsons
Swimming Teacher
Sue is a highly experienced swimming teacher and has worked and managed in the industry for over 20 years at various places such as David Lloyds. Sue has been at the swim school now for a number of years and loves her animals as you can see from the photo and enjoys nothing more than spending time looking after her horses and sheep. Sue is an ASA level 2 qualified swimming teacher and holds the NRASTC Award.
Beth Kettle
Poolside Helper
Beth learnt to swim at Sport Education Swim School and graduated to become a poolside helper after learning all the practises and drills during the squad sessions which included Artistic Swimming . Beth likes to relax by walking the dog and enjoying her holidays at home and abroad. She is currently studying religious studies and public services at college and is working towards her swimming teaching qualifications and currently holds the NRASTC Award.
Lewis Allen
Swimming Teacher
Lewis learnt to swim at Sport Education Swim School and graduated to becoming a poolside helper after learning all the coaching practises and drills during the squad sessions. He is currently studying a sports business management degree at Gloucester University. Lewis is an Swim England Level 2 qualified Teacher and holds the NRASTC Award. Lewis is a keen water polo player and represents the university team. He also enjoys cycling in his spare time and has represented the South West of England in the Deaf and Visually impaired Futsal Team.
Chris Bakker
Strength & Conditioning Coach
Chris has worked in the Strength & Conditioning Industry for a number of years. He is currently the Lead Academy S & C Coach at Bath Rugby and has previously held the roles of Head of Academy Performance and First Team S & C coach at Bristol Rovers F.C. Chris holds a Masters Degree in S & C from Cardiff University as well as a Bachelors Degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Bath. Chris also has a level 2 English Rugby Coaching award.He has recently joined the Sport Education Swim School team and will develop our Zoom Training and internal S & C provision. Chris likes to relax walking his dog Maxwell (his occasional Zoom Training Assistant!)
Bash Khan
Poolsied Helper
Bash learnt to swim at Sport Education Swim School and graduated to becoming a poolside helper after learning all the coaching practises and drills during the squad sessions. Bash is currently studying a computer science degree at University of the West Of England and in his spare time he enjoys playing football for Larkhall Athletic F.C and cycling. Bash is working towards becoming a Swim England Level 1 Teacher and holds the NRASTC Award.
Dawn Shane
Swimming Teacher
Dawn is a highly experienced swimming teacher and has worked at the swim school for nearly 12 years now. Dawn is also a teaching assistant at a local primary school. and loves spending time with family and friends away from swimming, often listening to music whilst gardening and taking in countryside walks. She enjoys her holidays and used to travel around the world as a stewardess on board the Island and Pacific Princess cruise ships. Dawn is UKCC level 2 qualified swim teacher and holds the NRASTC Award.
Georgina Whiting
Swimming Teacher
Georgina is a highly experienced swimming teacher and has been working in the industry for many years. She has been at the swim school for over 6 years now and has experience in a competitive swimming club environment. Georgina in her spare time enjoys aqua fit, running and playing squash. She likes walking her dog to relax often along our beautiful coastline. Georgina loves her overseas holidays too and is an ASA qualified Level 2 swimming teacher and holds the NRASTC award.
Steph Shane
Swimming Teacher
Steph is a highly experienced swimming teacher and has been at the swim school for nearly 14 years now. Steph swam butterfly and backstroke as a competitive swimmer and reached national standard competitions. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and exploring different types of cusine aswell as listening to music and exercising to relax and can often be found running outdoors or going to the gym. Steph is an ASA level 2 qualified swimming teacher and holds the NRASTC Award as well as a Level 2 Gym instructors qualification.
Rosie
Swimming Teacher
Rosie Is currently studying a Biology degree at Bristol University and would like to work as a marine biologist after she has graduated. Rosie likes to relax by taking the opportunity to travel and scuba dive. Rosie has for the last ten plus years competed as an Artistic Swimmer. Rosie has competed at International level for Great Britain and only last year competed in Malta at the European Championships. Rosie swam in Great Britain's first ever mixed duet in Malta too! Rosie continues to work towards her swimming teaching qualifications and currently holds here Swim England Level one & NRASTC Award.
